Rocktron Tri-Wah Pedal
From Guitar World Magazine March 2006
by Eric Kirkland

TRI PERFECTA
There are so many luscious-sounding modern and vintage wah pedals on the market, it can be difficult to choose just one. Rocktron’s versatile new Tri-Wah lets you have a selection of the best: simply turn its side-mounted dial to choose from Bass, Classic and Normal settings. The pedal also features super-duty jacks, a bright-blue LED and an easily accessible tension adjustment screw. Power comes from a nine-volt battery or optional Rocktron DC OnTap AC adaptor.

I tested the TriWah with a Relic 60 Stratocaster, a custom Charvel and my modified Marshall half stack. The Classic setting provided a wide sweep range, plenty of lows and firm Sixties-style quack at the top of the sweep. Switching to the Normal mode delivered a shorter range and introduced an array of lush midrange overtones to my Strat’s woody sound. The Tri-Wah’s Bass setting is certainly suitable for use with a bass, but I was kncoked out by its ability to accent my Charvel’s detuned notes with wicked low-end moans and sultry siren-esque screams. If you’re looking for three bitchin’ wah tones at one very low price, the Rocktron Tri-Wah may be your best choice.
