HUSH Super C

HUSH Super C

Hush Super C
(Noise Reduction for guitar)

The world’s leader in guitar noise reduction brings
to you the ultimate, affordable cure for N.G.S. (Noisy Guitar Syndrome!!!) The HUSH Super
C!
Forget about noise gates, Rocktron’s new HUSH Super C
noise reduction is the ultimate noise exterminator for guitar players. With a minimum
amount of controls, the Super C provides the maximum in performance, eliminating hiss,
hum, crackle, and other annoying noise problems from your setup.
The Super C is a stereo noise reduction system in which a
single set of HUSH Threshold and Gate Threshold controls are used to manipulate both
channels simultaneously. The Super C is equipped with an effect IN/OUT (or bypass), and an
input sensitivity switch conveniently located on the unit’s front panel.
With a dynamic range of 105dB and 72dB of effective noise
reduction, the Super C becomes a valuable tool in every guitar player’s rack. Wipe
out noise from preamps, stomp boxes, multi-effects, even those great hand built amps and
preamps, without compromising your tone.
Rocktron’s HUSH Super C leaves your tone intact. Your
search for complete tonal nirvana need not take a turn for the worse just because you add
much needed noise reduction.
Unlike those tone-squashing noise gates, Rocktron’s
V.I.R. (Variable Integrated Release) circuitry allows every note you play shine through
and sustain naturally. No typical gate “chop-off” here. The V.I.R. will track
every detail and nuance and provide the necessary noise reduction with ease and
simplicity.
HUSH has been THE name in noise reduction for guitar
players for years. Make the Super C your choice and use as a system designed by guitar
players for guitar players. Now shipping!!

Rocktron Tri-Wah Pedal
From Guitar World Magazine March 2006
by Eric Kirkland

TRI PERFECTA
There are so many luscious-sounding modern and vintage wah pedals on the market, it can be difficult to choose just one. Rocktron’s versatile new Tri-Wah lets you have a selection of the best: simply turn its side-mounted dial to choose from Bass, Classic and Normal settings. The pedal also features super-duty jacks, a bright-blue LED and an easily accessible tension adjustment screw. Power comes from a nine-volt battery or optional Rocktron DC OnTap AC adaptor.

I tested the TriWah with a Relic 60 Stratocaster, a custom Charvel and my modified Marshall half stack. The Classic setting provided a wide sweep range, plenty of lows and firm Sixties-style quack at the top of the sweep. Switching to the Normal mode delivered a shorter range and introduced an array of lush midrange overtones to my Strat’s woody sound. The Tri-Wah’s Bass setting is certainly suitable for use with a bass, but I was kncoked out by its ability to accent my Charvel’s detuned notes with wicked low-end moans and sultry siren-esque screams. If you’re looking for three bitchin’ wah tones at one very low price, the Rocktron Tri-Wah may be your best choice.

Reaction Compressor
Compressors are one of the best tools in a guitar player’s tool box, and the Reaction Compressor fulfills all the requirements for outstanding compression.

Buy Online

Professional players use a compressor like a secret weapon to get accomplish many things, including adding more sustain to any guitar without adding distortion, defining every note in a chord while letting it ring out, creating in your face solos, and much more.Rocktron’s Reaction Series pedals are built into a rugged metal slim form factor chassis, taking up as little space as possible on your pedalboard.  The Reaction Compressor is a TRUE BYPASS pedal: when you turn it off…it is out of your signal path!Control knobs for the Reaction Compressor include SUSTAIN, which controls the amount of Compression and Release characteristics.  ATTACK determines how fast the compression reacts.  LEVEL controls the output volume. Most studio compressors are big and bulky and quite difficult to set.  Rocktron comes to the rescue with the Reaction Compressor.  It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3 to get professional results that will improve your live performances. Here’s some tips.  Start by setting the ATTACK and LEVEL controls around the 12::00 o’clock position.  Turn the SUSTAIN from left to right in small increments while playing until you achieve the texture you are seeking.  After you have found your favorite sweet spot, use the LEVEL control to fine tune your output level.  That’s it!  Sound check is done.Use the Reaction Compressor as a master SOLO switch to not only define what you play but also to raise the volume!  The soundman can worry about something else…you have performance control!.Typically you want to set the output level after compression has been applied so that it is the same as the pedal in True Bypass – this is called “unity gain” (the same level from pedal on to pedal off).  You may want to apply compression, and then actually add volume using the LEVEL control.  Now you have added more sustain and drive which can be used before an overdrive pedal, or direct into your amplifier. Compression helps define articulation for any instrument by limiting how loud a note can get.  It also makes lower volume notes louder.  The end result is a smoother and more even sound, and that is what you hear on professional recordings.  It’s also what you will hear live!  The soundman will thank you!The footswitch on the Reaction Compressor controls On/Off status as shown by the LED indicator.  Reaction stomp boxes run on a 9V Alkaline battery, or may also be powered by Rocktron’s DC OnTap Universal Power Supply adaptor.

ValveSonic Black Plate +

Rocktron introduces another four-tube monster preamp! Producing tones only possible with tubes, Rocktron and LA Custom deliver the goods with the new ValveSonic Black Plate + all tube guitar preamp!

Buy Online

Providing unprecedented sonic versatility with another four-tube monster in the ValveSonic series, the Rocktron ValveSonic Black Plate + model captures the tone of the iconic American combo known for its pristine clean sound and smooth overdrive when cranked up.  We’re talking 50’s “Hybrid Tweed” to 60’s classic “Black Plate” Panel.  But this ValveSonic takes it even further providing the hot-rodded tones of the classic California amps.  All this with a single preamp! Features:The Valvesonic Black Plate + features a front panel input jack.  The 1-2 switch affects the input of the tube stage in the preamp.  When switched to “1”, the unit provides the more modern “hot-rodded”  type of input used on the classic “California” style amps.  When switched to “2”, the unit provides the classic type “Tweed” and “Black Face Panel” type “American” amps.  The Tight switch is used in conjunction with the 1-2 switch; in the up position the input is “tightened up”. Bright Control:The ValveSonic BRIGHT control is a five position switch that provides four different bright variations to the overall tone found in classic American and “hot-rodded” California amplifiers, with 0 being off and 5 being the brightest. Gain Control:The GAIN control is used to determine the amount of GAIN Input level driving the ValveSonic tubes.  Boost can be obtained by flipping the Boost switch to the On position.  The Boost works in conjunction with the “+” switch.  When the Boost switch is On and the “+” switch is in the down position you will obtain an extra gain stage.  When the “+” switch is Up, you obtain an additional gain stage and essentially add an entire tube to the front end, replicating the “hot-rodded” California style amps. Bass, Middle and Treble controls determine the amount of these various frequencies present in the signal.  EQ: The EQ 1 & 2 switch replicates the two different style EQs that were used in American amplifiers over the years.  In the Up position, (position 1), the 50’s “Tweed” EQ is replicated, providing a more modern midrange emphasis.  In the Down position, (position 2), 60’s “Black Plate” Panel EQ is replicated. Afterburner:The ValveSonic series features a unique AFTERBURNER switch.  This switch works in conjunction with the DRIVE control, providing yet another gain stage after the EQ section of the preamp.  When the AFTERBURNER is turned On, this switch emulates a post phase inverter master.  When On, you can utilize the Drive control to adjust the amount of Drive present in the AFTERBURNER stage. High Cut Control:The ValveSonic also features HIGH CUT control to adjust the High Frequency cut in order to roll off some of the high end “sizzle” when the high gain is used.  The Master control determines the output level of the preamp.

The Prophesy is even more than that!

User Definable Effect Configurations
User Assignable Stereo Effect Loop
Tap Tempo Delay and Tremolo
Built-in Chromatic Tuner
Stereo XLR Outputs

Dynamic Effect Control
Pre and Post Distortion and Global EQ
Pre Distortion Effects and Post Distortion Effects

Preamp Section
The preamp section features four channels each with their own
distinct “voicings” to provide a vast array of desired tube amp sounds. Each
voicing may be thought of as a “channel” and each channel has it’s own
basic gain and master controls with bass, mid, treble and presence controls, all easily
accessible with “real amp” knobs on the front panel, just like a regular amp
head.

Channel 1 or Clean American, replicates some of the most
sought-after clean vintage tweed amps of the late 50’s and 60’s.
Channel 2 or “Texas Blues”, is a vintage tweed with
a bit more “kick” and “bite” often heard from the famous southwest
bluesers ala “Billy Gibbons, Stevie Ray, Eric Johnson, Etc.”.
Channel 3 or “Vintage British”, is a traditional
“Plexi Style” tone offering some of the most dynamic rhythm tone available.
Channel 4 or “Mega Drive” is considered the Holy
Grail of almighty heavy tone of modern music pumping out everything from early Van Halen
to Ramstein and everything in between.

The preamp section also features a parametric Pre EQ, which
allows you to “pre-shape” your tone to simulate the characteristics of several
different guitars (such as fine-tuning your Strat to sound more like a Les Paul, Etc) as
well as an additional parametric Post EQ to add extra Lows, High, or scoop out the Mids.
And if that’s not enough, we also included a Global Parametric EQ which adjust the
overall output of the Prophesy on all presets.
Effects Section
The effect section of the prophesy is divided up into two
sections, Pre distortion (or pre-preamp), and post distortion (or post preamp) for
unlimited configurations of effects. The pre-effects section features Wah, Compressor,
HUSH(r), Pre-EQ, as well as one assignable effect of your choice. The post-effects section
provides ultra-transparent, high-quality effects which completely preserve the tone of the
preamp-thick reverbs and lush choruses can be used without coloring the sound of the
preamp’s tone. Four assignable “effect blocks” allow you to assign 1 effect
pre-preamp and 3 post preamp effects in any order you choose, including Phaser, Flanger,
Chorus, Pitch Shift, Rotary Speaker, Ducker Delay, etc. Prophesy also features a versatile
mixer section to control the mix between dry and wet signal output of every effect used in
the preset.
If the effects in the Prophesy are not enough, we included a true stereo effect loop which
may be assigned anywhere in the effect chain just like an internal effect. Want just an
incredibly powerful effect processor? Just bypass the preamp section completely and use
the Prophesy a stand-alone effect unit.
The ADSR (Attack/Decay/Sustain/Release) function features
Rocktron’s Pluck Detection patent-pending, and allows you to configure any of the
Prophesy parameters to be controlled dynamically by each pluck of a guitar string.
Other features include a visual representation of the
assigned effects signal chain, preset title, the voicing (channel) being used, are all
conveniently displayed on the first preset page. The buttons in the 16 button matrix show
the effect status (in or out) as well as allow you to instantly jump to those
effects’ parameter pages for instant adjustment.
Of course, the Prophesy maintains the high quality
operational features that Rocktron processors are well known for, such as glitch-free
preset switching with no signal drop out or lag time and the most natural sounding
effects.

Power Tap
Power your entire pedalboard with Rocktron’s PowerTap.

Buy Online

The Rocktron PowerTap 9 Volt Adjustable Pedal Power provides a variety of power options. The PowerTap design allows for consistant flow of power by jacks that are “isolated” and “noiseless”. The small chassis fits neatly on your pedalboard, conserving room.Three AC Output plugs are included, two on the sides and one on the back. The side plugs allow for better placement on your pedalboard. To accommodate the many variations in power requirements for different pedals, Rocktron has included 5 jacks on the front that are switchable between DC9V and DC12V.Two additional jacks on the front provide variable power from DC4V to DC9V allowing you to achieve the “dying” battery effect desired by many guitar players. We’ve also included one AC jack to power pedals requiring AC power.Traveling to another country? The Rocktron PowerTap is switchable from 115V to 230V.DC 9VOLT OUTPUTSThese 5 outputs provide 9V DC power, or 12V DC power. Before plugging any pedals into these jacks, be sure to determine what power is required by your pedal. Then use the DIP switches located on the back of the PowerTap to select DC9V or DC12V. Use the included cables to plug in your pedals.DC SAG 4V – 9VThese 2 outputs provide either 9V power or variable 4V-9V power. The DIP switches on the back panel of the PowerTap determine if these jacks supply 9V power or a variable power from 4V-9V. When selected, the 4V-9V power can be adjusted, allowing you to emulate the “dying battery” effect.AC9 VOLTThis output provides AC 9V power and requires CAUTION when plugging into this jack. First determine if your pedal needs DC or AC power before using this jack.AC OUTPUTThere are 3 AC Output jacks provided on the PowerTap which provide AC power.230V-115 VOLTAGE SELECTORThis switch determines the voltage coming into the PowerTap. When in the USA, use 115V. 230V is used for Europe and many other places around the world. First determine the voltage in the country where you are using the PowerTap before selecting a voltage.VOLTAGE SELECTOR DIP SWITCHESThese switches determine the voltage output of the jacks on the front of the PowerTap unit. Switches 1-5, when in the UP position provide DC12V power on outputs 1-5 and when in the DOWN position provide DC9V power on outputs 1-5. Switches 6-7, when in the UP position provide DC4V-9V power on outputs 6-7, and when in the DOWN position provide DC9V power on outputs 6-7 on the front panel. Switch 8, when in the UP position provides AC9V power on output 8, and when in the DOWN position provides AC9V power on output 8 on the front panel.AC INPUTThis is the AC power input connection. Use the included cable to plug the PowerTap into a wall power source.CABLESThe Rocktron PowerTap comes with 11 connector cables to supply power to your pedals. Using the included jumper cables, you can power a variety of pedals. The polarity is TIP “NEGATIVE” and BARREL “POSITIVE”. Most pedals are TIP Negative and BARREL Positive, however it is important that you first determine what your particular pedals require before using these cables.6 BLACK cables are 5.5 x 2.1mm (jack), Tip Negative, Barrel Positive.1 GRAY cable is 5.5 x 2.5mm (jack). This is an AC cable and should only be used with AC Output on the PowerTap. Do not use this cable with DC (Battery Powered) pedals as it will damage the pedal and/or the PowerTap.1 BLACK 3.5mm (1/8″) mini plug cable to be used with older stomp boxes requiring this type of jack is included. This cable is TIP Positive. Check your pedal’s power requirements before using this cable.1 BLACK 9V battery snap cable to be used on pedals that only run on a batter and do not have an adaptor power jack is included.1 BLUE cable with a 2.5mm plug that allows you to plug in pedals that require a larger or 2.5mm plug is included. This is TIP Positive and the Barrel is Negative.1 RED Reverse Polarity cable is included. The TIP is Positive and the Barrel is Negative.
